appointment scheduling process and patient management scheduling appointments process accessing the scheduling interface use the scheduling screen (second icon down on the left hand side) creating a new appointment select the "today" option if the patient wants an appointment on the same day verify availability on the chosen day click the agreed upon appointment time in the new window enter the patient's last name, comma, then first name in the search field select the patient from the search results patient types and appointment categories for existing patients choose "ov" for an office visit for new patients select "np" for a new patient visit appointment types pi wic personal injury or workman's comp re rof re exam or report of findings use re rof for the first visit of the new year or the first visit within six months use report of findings for the second visit for either personal injury or veterans finalizing the appointment click on "override" if there is more than one patient scheduled for the same time slot confirm by clicking "schedule " example confirmation appointment set for march 27th at 5 10 p m rescheduling an appointment select the existing appointment click on "update appointment " choose the "reschedule" option select the new date for time changes click on "time" and make the necessary changes confirm by clicking "reschedule " cancelling an appointment select the existing appointment click on "update appointment " choose the "cancel" option select a cancellation reason optionally, add a note confirm cancellation by clicking "yes
