posting daily charges 1 pull up appointment dashboard 2 go to date of service 3 under patient click on "sort ascending" this will put patient names in alphabetical order making easier to find 4 click on "patient" single click 5 click on "billing" dash on left side 6 click on "charge entry" 7 click on "select date of service" and check all applicable charges 8 if a lawyer is involved due to accident there are no modifiers needed 9 if the patient is an insurance patient be sure to mark the modifier with proper codes refer to list of modifiers 10 for pi cases stop and file dc note in proper pi folder 11 for insurance cases continue to next step 1 if insurance copay continue to end 2 if charged thf need to apply payment 3 click on "patient payment" click on "apply payment" go to date of service click on "default and choose correct date of payment" 4 enter amount to apply 5 type/click "save" 6 type/click on "post payments" 7 if patient has a copay do not post the payment until the insurance check comes in 12 after the above steps are completed click on "reports" 13 initial and check mark dc sheet 14 put aside to scan later and work on next patient start from step 4 15 when all done click on reports you'll be viewing a report to ensure no charges are being missed 1 click on "report library" 2 click on "billing" 3 click on "appointments with missing charges" 4 under filter a for group choose "high point" apply b for date choose a date from date usually first of the month click apply c choose provider "mays" click apply d choose "status" check "pending", "late" and "close" click apply e click on "build report" f record any missing dc's with the date and the patient make sure charges are corrected and posted 15 scan all dc notes 16 rename all dc notes you should rename the note "last name", "first name" "date of service", and either "intake", "dc" or "reexam" 17 open "rapid doc" 1 once scans are named, you need to attach file to the patient's chart 2 go to "find patient" bar at top of screen 3 type in patient's name, last name, space first initial 4 choose the correct patient click on name 5 click on "browse and import" 6 import scanned item into patient's chart 7 once file is scanned, move the file from the scan folder into the patient's ohsc folder on the network computer
