Patient Insurance Coverage Setup

step 1 navigate to the patient page on the patient page, locate the insurance section step 2 add new insurance coverage click the "add insurance" icon enter general insurance information step 3 input required insurance details group name payer group id coverage type setting mark as primary or secondary if adding a second policy, set as secondary step 4 specific instructions for hns blue cross blue shield ensure the payer is "hns blue cross blue shield secondary " step 5 additional insurance information enter the insurance type scroll down and add the insured id or policy number step 6 policy holder relation for spousal policies, select the appropriate relation if the insured is the patient (self), click "self" if it is the spouse's policy, click "spouse" and input first name last name date of birth sex step 7 eligibility information start date policy start date term date policy end date reset date option to set a reset date (example given january 1, 2026) step 8 enter copay and remaining insurance information after eligibility information is completed, click "next" enter the copay and additional insurance details step 9 finalization verify that all information is correct click "next" and then "save" to complete the process
