things to remember why podcasts being on podcasts is a great way to get exposure for free and drive leads podcast are evergreen and have loyal listeners that don’t want to miss an episode you get to leverage being featured on the podcast – you could send to your prospects, show icons on your website, or use it to get onto larger podcast remember these tips don’t try to get on the largest podcast first even small podcast have loyal followings find podcast that have your avatar this isn’t going to be just health and wellness podcast many of your avatars will be in women’s groups, entrepreneur groups, etc basically everything, but perfectly healthily audiences you are already enough you don’t need experience or a long list of accomplishments to get on a podcast it’s normal to feel under prepared trust me the world needs your message and your stories you just need the courage to keep pitching and to try do your homework you want to listen to a couple of the podcast at least briefly take time to note a piece of content that resonates with you and find an episode that is similar or in the health and wellness sector listen to this podcast to help when pitching to the podcast host understand what the host wants maybe able to look for a transcript to see the framework to help you build your pitch make your emails tailored to the podcast and their audience it’s not about you, your book, or what you have to offer it’s about them and more importantly how you serve their audience when on a digital platform collect digital leads have a website that they can go to download a lead magnet, book they can buy or follow you on social media you are doing a podcast to get leads know where you are sending them be confident and authentic on the podcast test your tech equipment before getting on the webinar keep it short and sweet the pitch is not about you (optional)stage to scale peeps you can add in a speaker kit, why me video, or bomb bomb video if you like link to your speaker page if you have one or another page that shows your credentials pitch to a podcast example email hello xx, i wanted to let you know that the recent xx episode listened to (changed my life/made me take an action/ helped me) as you plan out your editorial calendar for the next few months i would love to join you and support your mission i’d love to serve your audience; i know that you audience cares about xyz after listening to several episodes and i feel like my story of how i built x has some really great takeaways for your audience point one in hook form (i went from not knowing if… )bring up the topics that are relevant to the podcast point two hook form point three hook form i look forward to connecting with you and learning how i can support you and your audience further have a great day!
